The upcoming summer season means that many throughout the area will be looking to spend more time outdoors, leading to an increased demand for comfortable and reliable outdoor furniture as planning for barbecues, picnics, pool parties and garden brunches begins.

One of the area's providers of high-quality, durable and maintenance-free outdoor and patio furniture is Hetrick Gardens, which is currently celebrating its 30th year in business.

Based in Pottstown, Pa. and widely known for providing various landscaping, plant and garden products, Hetrick Gardens also sells Leisure Lawns Furniture. Crafted by the Amish in New Holland out of recycled poly lumber, the brand's products are crafted to withstand weather, mold and fading, allowing the furniture to be left out year round without issue.

"It's all made in the USA. The poly lumber is manufactured in the USA, all of the hardware is stainless. And because it's Amish made, it has superior craftsmanship. The products are high density polyethylene products and so easy to maintain," says Hetrick Gardens' co-owner Carolyn Hetrick.

Due to the quality of the products, each piece has a 20-year warranty, with Hetrick Gardens also providing delivery for each piece within two-to-six weeks, depending on the season.

Pieces are customizable, with customers able to choose between 27 different colors and select different color combinations to fit their outdoor setting. The company also offers engraving for customers who would like further personalization.

One of the most unique pieces offered by Leisure Lawns Furniture is their line of fire pits and fire tables, which are often a central gathering spot for family and friends.

"They have a round dining table with a fire pit in the middle and a rectangular one. So that's really kind of cool and unique. They even have a bar that you can put stools around, and it has a fire in the middle. So they have a whole line of fire tables, which is really nice," says Hetrick.

In addition to these pieces and their usual line of products, this year the company has introduced an expanded line of cabinetry, bookcases, cushion storage boxes, a TV console and sofa tables.

Customers looking to purchase the furniture can either go to Hetrick Gardens in person to see what is currently in stock, or place a custom order if they are looking for something more specific.

"We have excellent customer service here. And the furniture is simple to order and fun to use once you get it," says Hetrick.
