The Heart of the Home
When it comes to your home, nothing enhances its beauty and functionality quite like a stunning kitchen remodel. The kitchen is where most homeowners spend a majority of their time, making it a vital space that deserves to be both beautiful and practical.
At Amiano & Son, they believe that your kitchen should reflect your style and accommodate your needs. Whether you're looking to update your cabinetry, install a modern backsplash or completely remodel your space, their team of experts is here to help you every step of the way.
"The kitchen is the heart of the home," says Lauren Holston, Amiano & Son's marketing manager. "It really is the place where everyone gathers and it's where everything comes to life: the food, the conversations, the get-togethers. There are so many people who choose to have their kitchen remodeled because it's the room that matters most."
Since 1968, South Jersey homeowners—and now, Jersey Shore residents too—have been counting on the company for a variety of home remodeling needs, and over the years its team has only evolved into offering more and more services. Today, Amiano & Son provides everything from full home renovations to outdoor living spaces and bathroom remodels, but kitchen makeovers remain one of its most in-demand requests.
Rather than putting the house up for sale and trying to find a new home in today's turbulent real estate market, Amiano & Son can transform your space with a lot less hassle.
"We can help anyone make their kitchen dreams a reality," Holston says. "We can make the heartbeat of the home what they want it to be."
It starts with a process they call the "Amiano advantage." From the initial phone call and in-home consultation through product selections and construction all the way down to the quality control check, clients are kept in the loop with constant updates. With experienced designers and project managers focused on every aspect of the job, Amiano & Son has direct control over the quality and design, as well.
"We are truly a one-stop shop," Holston says. "I have never seen a remodeling company cover everything from Point A to Point B the way Amiano & Son does. We're with you on every step of the remodeling journey, and everything is handled in house. We will not start construction until we know everything is going to fit and function properly, and if it won't, then we regroup and figure it out before we start any work on the space.
"When I first started working here they would say, 'We treat our customers' houses like our own.' The more sites I've visited, I've really seen how true that is. You don't have to go somewhere else for your designer, your plumbing or your electric. We do everything, and something like a kitchen remodel is going to need all of that."
The team strives to give the homeowner exactly what they're looking for while also sharing the expertise and knowledge they've garnered from completing thousands of kitchen renovations. That might mean suggesting a vertical spice rack to save space, recommending the removal of a wall to create more room or designing a new pantry that is easier to access, just to name a few examples.
"Our designers and project managers working on the project listen to the customer, hear what they want, and then offer them more functional ways to do it," Holston says. "That might even include things they didn't realize were possible, like certain gadgets or drawers that just make life easier!"
The Amiano team especially specializes at rising to the challenge of designing and constructing a completely new layout from the existing one.
"That's our bread and butter," Holston says. "Most companies can pull out and replace—just pull out the old fridge and put in a new one, or pull out the old island and put in a new one. We specialize in taking your space and reconfiguring the whole thing. A lot of people come to us because they know we can create something beautiful and unique from scratch."
Some of the latest trends Amiano is helping to deliver to clients include double islands for multiple purposes; installing custom cabinetry panels on panel-applicable appliances for a clean, uniform look; large hoods over the oven with a finish to complement the other colors and textures in the space; and chef-grade appliances from Wolf or Monogram.
Also, species like knotty alder and walnut are becoming increasingly popular to add more of a unique and organic element to a kitchen. And while engineered quartz remains in high demand, natural materials are back in style. Beautiful quartzite stone or exotic granites are being sought after, as people are looking for materials they connect to.
The trends may change over time, but one thing that remains the same is Amiano & Son's dedication to completing projects with honesty and integrity. It's an approach that started with founder Lou Amiano Sr. and was passed down to current owners Lou Amiano Jr. and his wife Wendy. Their daughter Sophia Amiano and nephew Joseph Clymer are the youngest generation in the business and have carried on that tradition of excellence as well.
"Sophia and Joe really know what they're doing, but it goes way beyond that," Holston says. "This company has been in their lives for their entire lives. So there's a passion and drive behind a family business because it is their legacy. They have a little more fire to make sure the company thrives and is always delivering optimal results to clients."
